Activate Your Inner Refuse Bin

by Daisy Mukuni
(Melbourne, Victoria - Australia)

Ever since I was a little girl, I knew I had the ability to overcome situations. There has always been a feeling in me telling me "I will achieve anything I set my mind to." A friend asked me if I had a mentor at an early age, who spoke words of motivation and I say, no. Growing up, I wasnt the brightest girl in class, so the nuns at a convent school I attended told me I could never amount to anything. Maybe in not such clear terms. At home, the environment was similar and so I grew up in a situation that did not motivate me to be what any person could achieve.

The still voice, is who I thank today. Having that drive within me, urging me to do things I could never even understand, is where my gratitude is directed today. I acknowledge the role nuns, family and friends played because by so doing, they kept that dream alive. I listened intently to that voice and opted to believe in it, the one thing that was providing a positive vibe in my life.

Ladies and gentlemen, I say to you, utilise the refuse bin your mind has had stored for you. Anything people say to you either good or bad will "sit" for a while but what you decide to work with and by that I mean store is what determines your outcome. You cannot control what people say to you just as I could not control the negative things people placed in my heart all my life. Yet I chose to trash it, later even empty my trash bin. It does not mean I dont remember every word, I do but I have chosen not to work with it. Just like the computer, you cannot use that information, but as they tell us, it is there somewhere.

I thank God, who is his divine creation has put the still voices in us which sometimes bring out a positive or a negative thought depending on what you chose to work with regarding what the world says to you.

Take command of this ability and you will achieve what God has intended for you, a victorious life.

Love you all
