Never Ever Give Up: Re-united After 4 Decades Between India, Nepal and USA

Abandoned, neglected, rejected and left on the side of the streets to fend for themselves, were two siblings. Me at age 4 and my elder sister at age 8.

After our mother left us, our father handed us to our aunt who then brought us to Nepal from India. Once in Nepal our aunt forced my 8 year old sister to an arranged marriage to a 28 year old guy suffering with cancer.

Then she (aunt) leaves us there and vanishes, never to be seen again. At 4 I work at a restaurant washing dishes for a living due to starvation and something to eat. Sister on the other hand becomes slave.

With poor working conditions and lack of warm clothing, I get sick and thus fired at age 4 from work. Not being able to find food after that moment, I resorted to begging on the streets until I was too sick to even beg.

My helpless sister who could barely take care of her self does her best to slave and feed me every one or two weeks from her slavery job. Near death, unable to fend for myself, I lay sick helplessly beside the river banks of Kathmandu, Nepal, as my sister would come and poke me to see if I was still alive.

Unable to bare the situation, my sister cries and begs her in-laws to do something, thus I end up in hospital. Once at hospital my sister came to visit me few times and asked me to come with her. unable to leave the hospital with piling bills, I was forced to say goodbye to my one and only sister I loved and who took care of me, never to see her again.

God Why? At that time my God was not Jesus Christ but Hindu Gods. Why? Little did I know, since no one came to claim me from the hospital, I was to be sent to a Christian home that would change my life for ever. My education began and I finished college and ended up in USA. Working at Duke University now as IT specialist.

40 years I searched and prayed, God before I die, I want to find my long lost family. Especially my beloved sister and I wanted to know if she was still alive or not? I made many attempts and even approached many TV programs here in USA but no one helped or responded.

I wrote to guide post, Oprah, ABC, CBS, CNN, even Christianity today for help but no one cared. I tried many times and many trips overseas but failed.

Finally, with help from friends in Nepal and in India along with social networks like Fcebook, I reached out to some folks in India who were willing to listen to my plea and were willing to help.

Just last year I was reunited with my mother and my sister on a live TV programme between three countries. Nepal, India and North Carolina, USA.

I have since written a book titled "The Last Orange" and successfully published it in USA. Books available on B&N.com, amazon.com and iUniverse.com.

After finding my sister and mother I managed to gather up courage to interview mom and my sister just to find out that my sister spend slavery until she was 15 and her great aunt and great uncle came looking for her.

After that her own mother and father were told of her whereabouts yet our parents did not not have anything to do with her. My sisters two attempts to finish her life, her chilling life and torment she endured made my childhood story nothing compared to hers. This book is in dedication to my beloved sister.

It is a story you only read in fairy tale books and not in real life. But it is an inspirational story and very motivational to those whom my have gone through rough a life as I and my sister did -but don't ever give up hope.

Not only did I find my biological mom and my elder sister but my step mom, step dad, uncle and aunt, many nieces and nephew and 4 half brothers and sisters.
