LOVE AWAITS THE GROW

By Leonard Masauli
(MALAWI IN CENTRAL AFRICA)

I swore not to fall in love
For the repercussions uncoiled
Spoke volumes of the untold miseries
The price of my deaf for advice
Haunted me like a magnetic missile
For the testimony of my failure
Marked a genuine lesson to the love aspirants
" My son, love awaits the grow'
Was the advice freely shopped,
From my granny's advice hardware

Why am I crying?
The books I never read before
As I enjoyed the love letters and poems
From my infatuated love birds
Are the same others have sailed through
And they are breathing millionaires
'Look out son, look out daughter
You do not wait for living testimony
Or you shall live as testimony to others
But love awaits the' grow'
